Local Night At Elements

Balance At Work and One More Yogi recently facilitated Local Night At Elements Restaurant. This was an evening of local community that involved a relaxed exploration of locally-sourced food, local art, local music (Beau Dixon!), and a brief, gentle, yoga-based movement session before dinner. Through the generosity of 36 local businesses and about 30 participants in the evening, we raised almost $800 for Jumping Mouse Nature Education through a silent auction of local goods. The overwhelming generosity of the Peterborough community is one of the reasons I’m proud to call this town my home. www.balanceatwork.ca/events/local-night

New Year’s Classes

The following classes will begin in January. Book your spot soon… receive 5% off if you register before December 31st! Registered students also receive 50% off the drop-in fee for other classes.

  • Office Worker Yoga: An 8-week class designed specifically to target the areas of the body that suffer most from prolonged sitting.
  • But I Can’t Do Yoga…: A class for people who have never tried yoga and are intimidated by what they see on the covers of yoga magazines. In a small-group setting (4 students), I will introduce you to basic yoga poses and how to do them safely.
  • Gentle-men’s Yoga: Yoga for men who are seeking to balance their masculine and feminine energies by embracing calm.
  • Private and Semi-Private Lessons: For those with unusual schedules or who are seeking extra personal support. Private and semi-private sessions are available for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Receive 10% off when you book 4 sessions.

We’ve Found a Home!

Balance At Work is excited to be sharing space with the wonderful folks at the 360 Wellness Clinic in the Ewart O’Dwyer Building on the corner of George and Charlotte Streets in downtown Peterborough (157 Charlotte Street, right next to Wild Rock Outfitters). The new space is currently in renovation and should be ready in time for January’s classes. Stay tuned!
