Live-streamed Lunch-hour yoga 3 days a week

Reclaim your lunch hours to relax, stretch, strengthen, & energize

Balance At Work has shifted its lunch-hour yoga classes from the Robinson Place ballrooms to live stream through Zoom for as long as work-from-home actions are in place. These classes are open to the public as long as they are live-streamed.

Classes are 12:10-12:55pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays*.

Monday & Wednesday classes are beginner friendly with options to increase the challenge. Fridays are suitable for participants with moderate to high fitness levels.

Space is limited, even through Zoom! Online registration is required to hold your spot.

Monday Gentle Yoga

Ease back into the work week
Start your week with some gentle stretching. These classes take an accessible approach to yoga combining balance, strength, and stretching to wake up the body. Explore different postures to find deeper flexibility & leave you relaxed and ready for the rest of the day.

Suitable for all levels.

Wednesday Yoga

Take a mid-week de-stress break
Take some time for yourself in the middle of a busy week. Stretch and strengthen your whole body, targeting those areas that suffer most from prolonged sitting. Guaranteed to relieve stress and leave you feeling energized.

Beginner friendly with variations for all.

Friday Flow (Cardio)

Let go of the week & get ready for the weekend
Enjoy some fun, high-energy movement to let go of the week’s stresses. These classes focus on a solid cardio workout that will stretch & strengthen your whole body with more core and upper body emphasis than other classes.

Suited for those with moderate-to-higher fitness levels but modifiable for all.

The Fine Print

  • Full payment is required up-front. Fees will be pro-rated for those who join later in the series.
  • All prices include HST.
  • 5, 8, and 10-class passes expire on the final day of the current month. No refunds, credits, or carrying forward into the next month for unused classes.
  • Can’t make all of the classes? Feel free to send a colleague in your place. We will not be providing refunds or discounts for missed classes. Unused classes can’t be carried over into the next 1-month session.

Yoga Instructor

Andrew Jobes is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500, eRYT-200) who has taught over 2,800 yoga classes and workshops since 2013. He has coordinated and taught yoga classes for the Robinson Place Lunch-hour Wellness Program since January 2017. Andrew owns and operates Balance At Work, which specializes in workplace wellness services, yoga classes, and workshops, as well as yoga and meditation for clients in addiction recovery or with mental health diagnoses. He worked for the MNRF for 10 years and understands the physical and mental stresses of the workplace. Andrew has completed 500-hour Hatha, 100-hour Vinyasa (Flow), 15-hour Trauma-sensitive, and 18-hour Love Your Brain (to help students with acquired brain injuries) Yoga Teacher Trainings and has provided educational presentation and led workplace wellness workshops and yoga classes for several Peterborough employers. He’s currently pecking away at an MA in Counselling Psychology as the next step in the ongoing evolution of his work. 

Jodie Graham

Yoga Instructor

Jodie Graham is a Registered Yoga Teacher with a 500-hour certification in hatha yoga. She also attended an intensive restorative yoga training and has experience teaching yin yoga and guided meditation. She comes to teaching with a passion for health and wellness and teaches with compassion and accessibility, striving to give each student the best class for their individual needs, whether physically or mentally.

Marsha Roscoe

Backup Yoga Instructor

Marsha Roscoe (backup yoga instructor) is a 1,000-hour certified yoga teacher registered with the Canadian Yoga Alliance. Her training includes Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, and her educational background includes social work, psychology, and massage therapy. Marsha believes that yoga can be accessible for any body and enjoys both the mental and physical aspects of the practice. She will be a backup yoga teacher and may lead session(s) in the fall/winter.

Stacy Kirkbride

Backup Yoga & Fitness Instructor

Stacy Kirkbride (backup yoga & fitness instructor) is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, yoga teacher, and recreation therapist. She is passionate about enhancing the quality of lives of the people she encounters through fitness and health promotion. She excels in providing a versatile and adaptable array of classes with expertise in leading yoga (yin, hatha, power and flow), meditation, core, cycling, group strength, circuit training, step aerobics, and boxfit. Stacy will be a backup teacher and may lead session(s) later in the year.
